What to Expect on Your Pregnancy – Week 23
By Mirthle Wyatt-Moore
Your pregnancy week 23 is quite exciting because your baby is positively huge! He should weigh about 1.1 pound and this is quite an accomplishment for somebody who used to weigh less than an ounce. Your baby is about the size of a small baby doll and he measures about 11 inches long.
Your baby has now the ability to hear loud noises in the womb and as you go on with your pregnancy each week, don’t be surprised if you can feel your baby move around a bit when loud noises are quite common. A baby that is born between the 23rd and the 24th week will have a 10-70% chance of survival. Every single day that your baby stays inside your womb increases the chance of survival at approximately 3% during weeks 23 and 26.
Focus on the positive side of the pregnancy and the miracle that you are bringing a miracle into this world.
On your pregnancy week 23, you will probably notice that your baby’s movements are quite strong.
